Vom 10. bis 13. Februar fanden in München die traditionellen Frühjahrsauktionen von Gerhard Hirsch Nachf. statt. In den Auktionen 394 bis 396 kamen antike Kunstobjekte, antike Münzen sowie Münzen und Medaillen der Neuzeit unter den Hammer. Auch dieses Jahr waren die Auktionen ein Erfolg, das Team konnte sich über großes Interesse und hohe Zuschläge freuen.
Los 3118: Russland. Nikolaj I. 1825-1855. 12 Rubel 1842. Taxe: 15.000 EUR. Zuschlag: 180.000 EUR.
Besonders erwähnenswert ist das Ergebnis, welches ein 12 Rubel-Stück von Zar Nikolaj I. (1825-1855) erzielen konnte. Die hochgradig seltene Platin-Münze erreichte bei einer Taxe von 15.000 Euro einen Zuschlag von ganzen 180.000 Euro.
Los 2030: Herzogtum Bayern. Maximilian I. 1598-1623. 8 Dukaten 1598. Taxe: 50.000 EUR. Zuschlag 70.000 EUR.
Ebenfalls erwähnenswert ist das Titelstück der Auktion, eine bayrische 8-Dukaten-Münze von Maximilian I. (1598-1623). Sie wurde im Auftrag der bayerischen Stände anlässlich der Huldigung für den Herzog zu seinem Regierungsantritt geprägt. Sie erreichte einen Zuschlag von 70.000 Euro bei einer Taxe von 50.000 Euro.
