Stephen Album Rare Coins seeks a coin enthusiast to join their world-renowned team as they expand their offices in Santa Rosa, California. Applicants ideally should have a passion for coins and history. Take advantage of this exciting opportunity to make a career out of numismatics. The position includes processing consignments and helping to prepare accurate and interesting descriptions of rare coins, tokens and medals. Attention to detail and a motivated work ethic is essential. On-the-job training will be ongoing as you learn from our world-renowned numismatists. The position is full-time and includes benefits. In all cases, compensation will be commensurate with experience.

In this job you will:

  • Examine rare and valuable coins from all areas and time periods
  • Create descriptions of items in order to prepare them for auction
  • Train in how to grade and authenticate

  • Being organized and detail oriented
  • Your ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Being a motivated worker with a deep curiosity for learning
  • Experience in the numismatic business is a plus, although it is not a requirement for hiring
